MyUS.com Launches Black Friday Resource Center to Find U.S. Discounts

As the holiday shopping season gets underway for 2012, the U.S. shipping company MyUS.com has added a number of resources to make it easier than ever to shop with American merchants.

Retailers in the United States typically offer large discounts to kick off the holiday shopping rush. The most significant discounts usually arrive on Black Friday, the day after the American Thanksgiving Day holiday. Many retailers offer a second round of deep discounts for online shoppers on the following Monday, a day that has become known as Cyber Monday. This year, Black Friday falls on 23 November. Cyber Monday follows on 26 November.

MyUS.com is helping buyers around the world cash in on these discounts with its annual Black Friday Resource Center. Available online at www.BlackFridayResourceCenter.com, the service connects shoppers with thousands of discount offers, tips on getting the best deals and advice on popular retailers. The company also has a shopping extension called MyUS Shopping. Our one cart checkout makes shipping international products easier than ever. 

Because MyUS.com expects buyers around the world to take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, the company has increased staff and invested in technology to handle the projected jump in packages. Warehouse Manager Joe Vancoppenolle, who manages the company’s warehouse in Sarasota, Fla., said MyUS.com expects to receive about 6,900 packages per day during the month of November. “In December,” said Vancoppenolle, “we will be handling, on average, 40,000 pounds and 8,000 packages on a daily basis.” 

To help reduce international shipping costs, the company consolidates customer purchases into single packages that take up less space on international flights. “The MyUS.com shipping department will be processing approximately 1,700 outgoing shipments a day in November,” advised Vancoppenolle. In December, the company expects to ship about 2,100 packages per day. 

Once MyUS.com ships the packages, buyers typically receive their purchases within three to four days.
