MyUS Acquires Shopnship, Accelerates Growth

The international package forwarding company MyUS announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Shopnship, a package forwarding service based in Ft. Lauderdale. This acquisition marks the first of its kind for MyUS, and signals acceleration in the company’s already expansive growth. 

Like MyUS.com, Shopnship provides a US address to international customers who want to take advantage of lower American prices or purchase items only available in the US. American merchants send products to the customer’s unique address, and the company consolidates purchases into a single international shipment. 

“This acquisition allows us to provide a greater customer experience for international buyers,” said MyUS.com CEO Eric Baird. He cited MyUS.com’s expanded customer service offerings and larger warehouse facility. “It also allows our US merchant partners to reach an even larger international customer base,” said Baird. 

MyUS has already issued former Shopnship customers a new US address at its facility in Sarasota, Fla. Starting earlier this week, former Shopnship customers began using the new address on Express Lane when shopping with American merchants.
