MyUS.com Launches Merchant Tools Kit to Meet Global Demand
5/5/2011
MyUS.com, the leader in international package forwarding, has announced two new features to help merchants and partners connect with international prospects faster, and with less risk.
With the overseas demand growing for US products, more retailers are using services like MyUS.com to service international consumers. According to a recent Global Economy Tracker study from Associated Press, “the global recession has barely made a dent in the growth of China, India and other major developing countries.
Over the past 30 years, these developing nations’ share of total global economic output has gone from just 18 percent in 1980 to 26 percent in 2010, according to the World Bank. The fastest-growing economies are China, India and Indonesia, with the slowest-growing economies in Old World countries like Spain, Italy and Great Britain” (the U.S. ranks 12th among the 20 largest economies, according to the AP study).
The first offering MyUS.com introduced to help retailers harness consumers more efficiently is the Remote Registration application. Implementation only takes minutes and marketers can place the applet on their FAQ and shipping pages as well as in their shopping cart. When international prospects click on it, it allows them to register for their MyUS.com address via a pop-up while never leaving the merchant’s website. Since being introduced, MyUS.com partner merchants have seen a 20% increase in conversions from their international clientele.
MyUS.com also rolled out a new fraud prevention tool, Risk Report, which provides merchants the ability to check members Risk Score as well as verify that their credit card is the same card that was used to open their MyUS.com account. The addition of this feature allows marketers to make better decisions on who they allow to make purchases from them.
John Wright, Vice President of Marketing at MyUS.com, states, “The addition of these new solutions for online retailers has allowed MyUS.com to grow the number of affiliate retailers on our roster by over 25% in the past 3 months in addition to increasing the number of daily shipments processed for our merchants.”
