The United Kingdom prohibits import of antiques, works of art and fine art with values in excess of EU 50,000. In addition, other prohibited items include tax stickers, lottery tickets, pre-paid phone cards and cash-like instruments like coins, money and blank checks.
Several restrictions also apply to shipments to the United Kingdom. In general, the UK allows shipments of jewelry, but the country does not allow import of any jewelry that contains precious stones or precious metals. Laptop computer shipments are limited to one computer per shipment, and mobile telephone packages may have no more than two phones per shipment. Additional restrictions apply to costume jewelry, designer clothing, pharmaceutical products and watches.
