Effective: January 2018
The Egyptian Customs Authority has prohibited the import of personal shipments with a value of US$2,000 (35,000 EGP) or more. Commercial shipments with a value over US$2,000 will require specific import documents not provided by MyUS:
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Commercial Invoice legalized by the Chamber of Commerce at the country of origin
- Letter of Authorization
- Additional documents based on the discretion of the Egyptian Customs Authority
